In conclusion the stereotyping of characters
has not lessened over the years and will most likely continue to be a large
influence on the film industry as they allow film directors to create instantly
recognizable and lovable characters that people can easily understand the
motives and views of, Clichés are one of the biggest weapons in an advertisers
arsenal as they allow you to use easily recognizable imagery to get across a
point. The portrayal of women in the media although improving is still a large
issue and one that sets up many debates and this is also true for the representation
of people of colored descent in news and media.
